Monarch Preschool Educators 

We are presently seeking early childhood educators to support our expanding Monarch Preschool for the 2016-2017 school year. Specifically, our third 2.9+ year-old classroom.

 Primary responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a curriculum based on the interests of the children
  • Engage children in a variety of provocations relating to art, science, music, nature, and dramatic play
  • Create stimulating and nurturing learning environments in both indoor and outdoor spaces
  • Document the learning journey of each child, and use that insight to enhance the understanding of each child

Candidates should possess or exhibit:

  • A degree in early childhood education, or related field
  • EEC certification
  • Experience with an emergent, play-based curricular model
  • Training in or knowledge of the Reggio Emilia approach including: environment as third teacher, documentation, and integrated assessments
  • Commitment to professional growth and development
  • Willingness to develop outdoor classrooms and nature-based curriculum

Springboard to Kindergarten Educators 

We are presently seeking early childhood educators to support our growing Springboard to Kindergarten program for the 2016-2017 school year. Specifically, we are looking for both lead and assistant teachers for two of our three Springboard classrooms.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a curriculum based on the interests of the children
  • Engage children in a variety of provocations relating to art, science, music, nature, and dramatic play
  • Create stimulating and nurturing learning environments in both indoor and outdoor spaces
  • Continuously investigate new ways for children to explore
  • Integrate emerging academic skills into both short and long term projects and investigations
  • Document the learning journey of each child, and use that insight to enhance the understanding of each child

Candidates should possess or exhibit:

  • A degree in early childhood education, or related field
  • EEC certification
  • Experience with an emergent, play-based curricular model
  • Training in or knowledge of the Reggio Emilia approach including: environment as third teacher, documentation, and integrated assessments
  • Commitment to professional growth and development
  • Willingness to develop outdoor classrooms and nature-based curriculum
